Gajendra Rai


Mr. Rai brings on board almost 18 years of varied and vast experience of leading different assignments for various ministries and UN organizations. He comes with a strong research background and has excellent command over qualitative and quantitative measurement techniques and evaluation capability. He has almost two decades of experience in research, monitoring & evaluation sector. Designing research plans, development of M&E tools, facilitating fieldwork, formulating analysis plan and writing reports are his key expertise areas. He has been part of large-scale research studies for several prominent organizations in multiple domains Sustainable Agriculture, Livelihood, Gender, Health & Nutrition, WASH, Environment & Climate Change, Child Rights., etc.

Dr. Joseph Varghese Viruthiyel

Research Adviser

Ph.D., Sociologist with 35 years of experience in Monitoring and evaluation, Project Cycle Management, Community Institution Building in various sectors. Having more than 35 years of experience, Dr. Joseph has a very in-depth understanding of undertaking monitoring, evaluation and impact assessment studies of socio-economic programmes. Designing study tools, pretesting, organizing field plan and report writing are his core competencies along with the excellent analytical skills and graphical presentation. He had held positions as Team Leader and M&E Expert for several assignments including those sponsored by World Bank, ADB, Central Ministries and UN Agencies.

E.C. Beena

Sr. Research Manager

Over two decades of experience, Beena comes from a strong agricultural background. She has been part of several research, monitoring and evaluation studies from diverse sectors. Beena’s core competencies lies in undertaking qualitative interviews, documentation, editing, preparing report findings, etc. She has been part of several assignments funded by central ministries and UN agency. She has been working with the organization since the last 10 years and was a part of several assignments, especially in Agriculture and value chain sectors. She has also worked as a Senior Research Fellow in Indian Agricultural Research Institute on a Project titled “Linkages between Agricultural Farmers, Research Scientists and Extension Workers.

Kaisolo Pazhiini

Sr. Research Associate

Post-graduation & Ph.D. from Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), Chennai. Worked as a Research Associate in a UNFPA funded project at RGNIYD. Later worked at National institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), New Delhi as a Project Consultant for three years. Her research interests include: Education, Child, Adolescent and Women’s Health & Life Skills. Some of the research projects she has been involved are “Impact of School Health Program”, Critical Assessment of Participation of Children in Education in Urban Slums in India” and MHRD study on “Involvement of Teachers in Non-Teaching Activities and its effect on Education: An all India study of Time spent by Teachers on Election and election related duties.” Adept in SPSS and a beginner of R Programming.

Anamika Karki

Sr. Research Associate

Post Graduate & M.Phil from Punjab University, Chandigarh. Worked as a Volunteer in TEACH INDIA Programme (Jointly organized by Times of India & British Council) in providing 3 months Training to the diploma level students of Meerabai Institute of Technology, Delhi Govt. Polytechnic. Later worked at National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), New Delhi as a Project Consultant. Her research interests include: Higher and Professional Education, Cultural studies, community studies, identity crisis. Adept in SPSS, documentation, analysis and report writing.

Anju Prabha Bara

Sr. Research Consultant

Anju has previously worked with Oxfam Austria as a Program Coordinator-Livelihood & Gender and Project officer with Danish International Development Agency Danida. She has done her Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management (equivalent to Masters’ by the Association of Indian Universities) from Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal. Her areas of specialization include; designing and implementing of research projects in Livelihood, Gender, Health, Rural Development and Natural Resource Management sectors, preparation of study tools, conducting qualitative interviews and report writing.

R. Sumitha

Sr. Research Consultant

Sumitha holds M.Sc degrees in Agri. Plant Pathology and Information Technology and is ARS-NET qualified. She has worked as a Senior Research Fellow at Indian Agriculture Research Institute and as Plant Pathologist in Nimbkar Agricultural Research Institute, in All India Coordinated Research Project on Safflower. She specializes in Protected cultivation of horticultural crops. Sumitha has published several research papers & technical bulletins in Indian Journal of Agriculture Sciences and Indian Journal of Horticulture and attended several workshops at various Agriculture & Technology institutes.

Smita Mehetre

Research Associate

Ms. Mehetre holds a Masters in Environmental Sciencewith more than 10 years of experience of working on research projects. She has been actively involved in implementing research projects on various issues, particularly environment and climate change being her core areas of interest. Smita has served as “Waste Advisor” and Recycling Monitor for Keep Britain Tidy, London, UK in 2013-14.She holds strong command over all research activities such as preparation of qualitative and quantitative tools, data collection from field, conducting Focus Group Discussions, recording and documenting case studies, data analysis, report writing, etc.

Amrita Mazumdar

Research Associate

Having almost five years of experience in research and evaluation realms, Amrita has completed her graduation from University of Delhi and post-graduation in sociology from IGNOU. Earlier she was a part of research team at AMC Research Group and involved in several studies focusing on rights and issues related to women & children (child marriage, child protection, etc.), adolescent girls, discrimination against the marginalized and domestic violence. Her work experience involved conducting fact finding visits to various states and cities. Her key skills include; documentation, analysis and report writing.

Vikas Teotia

Field Manager

Almost a decade of experience in field mobilsation and field management, Vikas has strong hold over all kinds of field level activities. He has travelled across the country for project related assignments and is responsible for ensuring data quality.
